Our chimney has been attacked by woodpeckers, it is full of holes!?

The woodpeckers are not just randomly pecking on your chimney. They are after bugs that are hiding in the wood siding. I'd re-side the chimney and use Hardiboard or some other cement impregnated product. No bugs and no woodpeckers.
